Becoming ever more common these days are the industrial PCs. These usually have no fan and have a 24 volts DC supply. Some have also a DIN rail mounting kit, sold separately or come with the unit. What is not readily visible is the quality of the components and the ability to run permanently at elevated temperatures. Many of these units will not compete with the fastest CPUs on the market, but since their usage is quite often only for one or just a few applications this doesn't come outright as a setback.
